Thermalecology is in a heyday. Everybody's out in the fi lasseing lizards, measuring body temperatures and trying to determine whether species exhibit physiological divergence across ents or if they are the same. The collection of these empirical studies led to a conceptual debate about whether bogert’s ideas were generally true or not generally true. I think he was envisioning this capacity of behavior to sort of reduce environmental variation, dampen natural selection and limit evolution.
