The History of Salicylic Acid
In 1874, a study was published on the effectiveness of salicylicin in treating rheumatic fever. By 1920, things like Strict 9, caffeine, morphine, and quinine had been isolated. And it was only a matter of time before Willow got the same treatment. Progress to isolate the active ingredient in Willow bark was made in teeny, tiny increments.
