A Different World of the Sensitive World
"Umwelt" is a word from german phenomenology. Biologists use it to describe the sensory world that each creature inhabits. Each creature is only privy to its own thin sliver of the fulness of reality. "It's a concept that i think is very humbling, because it tells us that even in the most familiar spaces, there are wonders to be experienced," says David Walliams.
