Is There a Reward Aspect to Social Conformity?

The goal of this line of research is to try to tease upart informational and rewarding aspects conform. We're trying to rule out that you're doing it because you think they are right about something, and you are. That probably has to do with the hadonic aspect of conformity, not the informational one. And so that tells us that, at least to the tend, that joining a majority a makes environmental stimuli suck up some positive effect that later support you choosing those stimuli over others.
