The Lord's Anger Was Kindled Against Israel
Moses told the sons of Gad and Ruben to take up arms against Israel. They said they would, but only if every man who is armed for war before the Lord will pass with them over the Jordan. Moses gave command concerning them to Eliez of the priest, and to Joshua the son of none. The land was then given to Gilead as a place where people could live out their days.
