Gordievsky and the KGB

Oleg Gordievsky is a former KGB spy who defected to England. He says he was in a race against the clock to get out of the Soviet Union before it confirmed his identity as their traitorous double agent. On Friday, July 19, Gordievsky packed his bags and said goodbye to his family. After downing a beer, man to chicken leg, he started running the 16 miles back to the rendezvous point in corduroys. About 30 miles before the border, two British cars stopped just exactly at that time.
