Doctors are not owners of the hospital and their job profile warrants them to see more patients. That is classical corporate tactics. You see more patients, it's more business for the hospital. So I think that is one small aspect of increased work from a doctor's point of view. People are health conscious, obviously. But that kind of approach and attitude towards health care services is very much predominant in our country because people want to get checked up even if they don't have any issues.
Known online as The Liver Doctor, he's a crusader against quackery of all sorts.
