The Immediate Preparation for the Church
The church is the reign of Christ, says Pope Benedict XVI. The Lord Jesus inaugurated his church by preaching the good news and ushering in a kingdom promised over the ages to fulfill the father's will. In paragraph 765, it says, the Lord Jesus endowed this community with a structure that will remain until the kingdom is fully achieved. And so we have to reckon with the fact that at the same time there is clearly a visible aspect to the church," he said.
