Science and technology studies is not just about explaining scientific methodologies or formulas. It asks much bigger questions like, what should science do? How is it organ who does it serve? I've read a fair amount of this work, and it's made me look at science in a new way. If you read about the history of science, you'll read of eugenics, of scientific racism. You'll read of medical experiments on prisoners, slaves and inginous communities. These are big science projects fuelled by big government money.
