We're Called to Love as Christians Write
The catechism says that the primary vocation of all christians is to love. The truest ove that we can imitate is christ's love on the cross, he pours himself out completely in love as gift. When we fail to love, when we hate, we are separated from god. By loving, we're brought into deeper union and deeper intimacy with god and m regardless of whether or not that love is received or acknowledged or returned.
