Foreign Policy - Is There a Deep, Wiriousness Problem Going On?

There are clearly certain, deep, deeply ingrained biases among the political class. The way that foreign policy gets thought about is what buttons is it pushing on these like, archetypes we have in our heads? Like it's just this deep, unseriousness that seems to go all the way to the root of the thing. And i don't really know how you get out of a situation like that. I mean, there's a lot of people who have like, serious ideas out there. But even that seems to be reduced to these almost like pop culture versions in some cases.
