The Role of Diet in Breast Cancer Treatment

Are there clinical trials that are actively looking at cancer patients and dietary interventions that are sort of adjunctive to the pharmacotherapy that they're doing? Yes. There's quite a few and in fact, we are running some several here. In the breast cancer setting, we're testing a plant-based diet with no animal products in combination with structured exercise. Now on the flip side, we talked about the ketogenic diet and there are very specific settings where that might be useful as well. So you have this anti-cancer therapy that directly attacks the cancer cell and yet it's creating an environment where the cancer cell may actually eventually become resistant to that cancer therapy through hyperinsulinemia
