We are all pretty much irrational creatures, and that's a good thing. Cognitive biases are like short cuts the brain takes in many situations where it uses fast, intuitive thinking as opposed to thoughtful, calculated, reflective thinking. You see this every day on twitter. People will only listen to facts or hear facts that confirm there what they already believe. That's called confirmation bias. Or dunning cruger bius makes you think you're better at s than you are. I'm an imperfect example of some one who has that bias all the time. What makes somebody like that? Everybody is like that.
