The Importance of Pursuing Joy and Happiness

We aren't meant to make an idol of joy or happiness. Our Lord has taken our whole humanity to himself and so it all becomes a place in which we can encounter him. We shouldn't set it aside or prejudge it as something that cannot possibly bear meaning right? So there are going to be seasons in your life that are happier and seasons inyour life that are sadder. The point is not to make an idols of the happy but to seek our Lord in the midst of it.
