The use of bite mark evidence has led to 35 wrongful convictions in the UK. Harriette Hoyle says it is based on 'junk science' techniques that are not backed up by scientific research. She claims experts can be hoodwinked into taking an expert's word for it, when they could be able to take their own sense from a cheeshick exampler.
