The Guardian Council Banned All Reformist Candidates From Running
In the most recent election, the 2021 election that elected conservative Ibrahim Raisi to the presidency, the Guardian Council essentially barred all reformist candidates from running. What did this election reveal about the point that Iranian politics after these decades of seaside between reformists and hardliners? Did reformist politics as we knew it had they finally become exhausted?
