In the most recent election, the 2021 election that elected conservative Ibrahim Raisi to the presidency, the Guardian Council essentially barred all reformist candidates from running. What did this election reveal about the point that Iranian politics after these decades of seaside between reformists and hardliners? Did reformist politics as we knew it had they finally become exhausted? I think just one thing to bear in mind when we're looking at the 2021 election is actually the aging, common A very much aware of his own mortality and imminent death.
