The Importance of Listening to Yourself

I was the only person on this project team who wasn't in the home office. I should have reached out to that person directly. It was however what we would call career limiting. But they still deserved me doing this in a one-on-one fashion rather than do it publicly. We don't always think about the idea that the people we're working with are still people.
