The Manipulation of the Market

The market is manipulated every single day in almost probably every single minute of the market, but manipulation doesn't mean illegal. It means it's a willing to push prices higher or lower. So if I was a large interest in Goldman Sachs and I was in this current everyday in the pit, and I would bid for a thousand contracts at 21, the people in the pit would say, well, if Goldman Sachs is buying the market at 21, okay, then I'm going to buy it at 22 and 23,. And what they do is that they force the price up, then the Goldman Sachs will bid 22, 23.
