When you dropped in a coin there wasn't like digital communication between the payphone and the phone company. So we went to Hallmark and got those recordable cards the day they came out where you could be like hi grandma and it would say that in your voice when they open the card. In Michigan people used to use mini cassette recorders which were one super expensive to if it got too cold it changed the tape. It wouldn't sound right because it was 2 damn cold. But 2600 Hertz works maybe 2700 Hertz kind of works 2829 doesn't work at all right.
