The Purity Movement
Purity culture is a subcultural movement within, you know, mostly white American evangelicalism that then filters out and affects a lot of other parts of the US. It starts as kind of a white conservative evangelical thing, subcultural movement in response to a broader cultural movement, i.e. the sexual revolution. I think it was fair to say a historic Christian sexual ethic teaches that sex and marriage go together. That's so page 19 right here. Good job Ray. You've paid almost forward with this book.
