The Meaning of Bohemian Rapsody
Some have suggested that the song takes some lyrical inspiration from the Albert Camus novel The Stranger, in which a young man confesses to an impulsive murderer and then has an epiphany before he's executed. Brian May remembers that Freddie would always say, all my lyrics are fish and chip paper darling gone tomorrow. He once said, I'll say no more than what any decent poet would tell you if you dared ask him to analyze his work.
