Are There Existential Motives That Drive People to Believe in Conspiracy Theories?
People who feel they are not in control of their lives tend to believe that there is someone else organizing a, for example, rules the game s of the society. There's also social motives associated with how we feel about ourselves such as high or low self esteem. It's a set of different psychological predispositions that makes people more prone to embrace them.
