The Tories' Relationship With the BBC
Richard Sharp voluntarily stepped down instead of making the Prime Minister have to take a decision on this. Srinak has just sort of stood back and waited for what he hoped would be the inevitable and then offered comment on it. I think in terms of the Tory agenda to reform the BBC this has probably caused a significant setback for that as well. The knock-on effect is going to be quite interesting you've had shadow culture secretary Lucy Powell out and about saying that the Conservatives can't just appoint their cronies to public bodies.
