Howl's Journey Through the Castle

In addition to Sophie, who is our heroine who was a hatter as in she makes hats until she got under a curse that made her into an old woman. She falls in with how the wizard who has a reputation for destroying young girls. There's Michael who is his apprentice and if you see the movie Michael is presented as like about seven or eight years old in this book he's a teenager. Then there's Casifer who is the fire demon who lives in the hearth of the castle and seems to be the dynamo which is propelling all the magic involving the castle. You're like, Oh, yeah, they all love each other.
