I'm a Black and Half Filipino, and I Grew Up in a Middle-Class Neighborhood in DC

I'm glad you're out there working on this. You had mentioned before we started recording that you grew up in DC, kind of quite close to where I live now. Can you tell me a little bit about what it was like to grow up here? I can. So I grew up in upper northwest DC, literally on the border between DC and Chevy Chase, Maryland. When the basketball from my errant shots in the driveway bounced across the street, they bounced into Maryland.
