Advaitin says, no, this cannot be the criterion of truth. Why? In my dream, I see water, I feel thirsty and it quenches my thirst. So according to your definition, that was real water. But it's not. You can just as well wake up and feel dehydrated. How did I decide whether it was real water or not real water? When I woke up and said, oh, that was the dream. And this is real water. It's because I had this canceling knowledge.
