The Amygdala and the System's One Thinking
Sometimes we have a nervous system that's just been trained to be hyperactive and always be looking for the next stressor because we've had a lot of stressors. Once you're locked in that amygdala thinking or the system's one thinking, you start thinking like the amygdala is trying to keep you safe all the time. And so some of the things that drive the amygdala and get the amygdala talking are not as linear or tangible as an abuse event. So instead of broad vague generalities I'm feeling anxiousI can take that and work with that by asking different questions and making them aware of what they mean. Hold yourself accountable close up. You can't have fear without content in your mind
