I want to talk about the Cathars, because they give us an example of what a heretical movement looked like in the Middle Ages. And I don't want to put the onus completely on the, the Cathars for this. The Albejensians were a people who came from the East,. migrated and settled in a town called Albe, Albi, in southern France. They also were in northern Italy. Also called Cathars from Cathari or Catheros, which means pure. But they revive some of that old kind of mannequism, which divides the world into the evil material world and the good spiritual world.
