The City's Ban on Renovations

SBTU is a tenants' rights group based in Santa Barbara, California. They are trying to stop landlords from raising the rent by 10% every year. In order to do this, they had to go from city to county meetings and get support for their cause. "We're just tenants ourselves that are in the struggle just like everyone else," says SBTU's Sam Abend.
