The only thing about which there is any real clarity is that children, generally speaking, were never really... 100% reliable. And those schools almost certainly should not have been closed at all. They certainly shouldn't have stayed as close for as long as they did. We've wasted a tremendous amount of money on all kinds of prophylactic solutions that were almost certainly useless and in some cases, counterproductive. But the conversation about it was so strange because this is what happens when people say this all the time.
