The Importance of Risk in Macro Investing
An appreciation for risk is definitely a commonality that as I think Paul Tudor Jones has probably said, you know, played defense first and let the gains take care of themselves. So we are a bottom-up fundamental firm. And so we've very rarely had much of a macro overlay into our thinking until about seven eight years ago. We started looking at valuations and just completely detached from anything that we felt was reasonable. But we more and more began to believe that this continuation of easy policy was going to have consequences.
