Huerta and the Zapatistas in Morelos

Huerta was turning Mexico into a military dictatorship, even more of a military dictatorship than the Porfiriato had been. He ruthlessly consolidated power then prepared to face off against Carranza's rebellion in the north. Huerta bore a special grudge against Emiliano Zapata and the rebels in Morelos. The general offer of blanket amnesty was offered to them, but this was pro forma.
