Why Did My Dad Start a Foundation?
My father was really prescient about a lot of these issues. He basically said, look, if we don't figure out as Muslims how to live in the world with the rise of the West, we're going to have problems. And sure enough, he predicted Bosnia, I predicted so much of what we're now these convulsions that we have. My mother taught sociology, and my dad, you know, started very early on. But they chose me. They're going Italy, Saudi Arabia, Italy. Why do you think they chose me? It's more of a challenge than anything else.
