The Disagreement Between Biblical Evidence and Archaeology
Archaeological evidence is extremely problematic for all the reasons that we discussed before. There is no consensus among scholars among archaeologists about exactly what remains we have in Jerusalem at that transition from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age, right? And so this is part of the problem. It's really widely variant. But I would say that if you ask me what did Jerusalem look like on the eve of David's conquest, well, it's certainly in my opinion, include it.
