Andronicus and the Aheer Sophia

Andronicus was increasingly isolated from his people. He spent much of his time in his suburban palaces, dealing with the business of government but also drawing up lists of nobles he wanted to execute and hosting orgies. It was the second of those three occupations that was to usher in his downfall. One of the leading men still standing was Isaac Angulos, one of the rebels he'd captured at Nicaea and a great-grandson of the Alexius Comninos. Andronicus didn't seem to need much of an excuse to murder more of his relatives,. But it was fair enough assumption that if the Normans reached the land walls, the people would turn on him.
