The Inadequacy of Hegel's Dialectics

Hegel's dialectic is meant to detect how the contradictions of the present can arrive at a higher logic but importantly Hegel's method needs to be supplemented, it needs to be flipped on its head. Marx and Engels argue that the true socialists sought the conditions of socialism within the misty realm of ideas not from the standpoint of the proletariat. They thought revolution far too abstractly, they thought revolution as grounded in an overcoming of alienation of humanity in a two universalsense. In a sense they were naively universalist.
