In the seventies, there is a much more forceful and explicit effort to capitalize on cultural fears and anxieties. So it's kind of like an echo of what the spiritual mobilization people were doing but where that was just trying to sort of grasp some version of hiainto the ninto a vague christianity. The connection is more organic than it had been in the 19 fifties. And is, i think, also able to get more more traction.
