The Ethics of Critical Disability Studies

There's an ethic around how we would understand disability and mental health. It repositions the person with a disability or individual who identifies as MAD as the expert. They're the individual who possesses the knowledge of their own experience in the world, and they have value. And this counters an approach that would pathologize an individual and see them as deficient or lacking at the individual level.
