"I don't think it's such an allegory or a lesson for anybody who's feeling called to something that doesn't feel like what other people do," she says. "Coming from like, writing communities in New York where everyone is basically not religious ... isn't that insane that I found God through my writing practice?" She continues: "It's just like this very beautiful piece that has come like now I can say it all makes sense."
