The Demoralising Power of the British Democracy

I got into this job because I wanted to help people, like radically change folks' lives and you know, stick up for people who wouldn't have somebody sticking up for them otherwise. And again, just on a human level, it's so demoralising to realise within this system just how powerless you are to an extent. My vote hasn't changed anything. If all 59 Scottish MPs vote one way, all it takes is the city of London, which has 73 MPs and were outvoted. So I've done another 300 MPs from the Conservative government. To our next tenors for sure.
