Is There a Difference Between Teaching and Emotional Pressure?

Teaching is characterized by lots and lots of things happening to teachers simultaneously. We can only see a certain number of things at any one time, so what happens for new teachers is we get locked into patterns that make it very difficult to get better in the classroom. And similarly, like if we do make an improvement, there's some lot of research that says that if we come under a particularly high amount of cognitive load, we can actually backslide and getting worse at teaching.
