A lot of the stories i tell in the book about these land returns by non indigenous or settler people to indigenous nations, came about kind of by accident. A roger welsh was a folklorist whod actually worked with a lot of native people, including the omahas here in nebraska. He and his wife gave them a portion of their land as a burial plot, and that they would deed it to them when they died. Roger brought them down to the loop river that runs by his land.
