Is There a Crisis in Your Novel?
In 19 77, ursula has a conversation with her agent about a crisis in her writing life. She decided she couldn't continue to write from a male point of view but that she didn't know how to go about a moving forward in a different way. When i think of this moment where she knew how to write incredibly well, she was at the top of her game and yet decided she wanted to learn how to write entirely differently. I feel like this time period between 19 77, the crisis, and the 19 90 publication of thanu, which re enters our see and embodies it in a Different Way.
