The Baptism of the Bridegroom
There are actually some valentinine inscriptions that mention specifically the bridal chamber, and indicate that rites within that bridal chamber may have been metaphorically accomplished. There's a wonderful funerary inscription for a woman called flavia sof and it was discovered in rome along the via latina. It says, yearning for the fatherly light, my sister and wife, anointed in the baths of christ with perfume and unfading pure you were eager to behold the divine countenances of the eternities. And there's a lacuna here. You were crowned.
