i agree with what jen said, where if you're close enough with someone who is of the gender that you're interested in, en question start popping up. I've definitely had close guy friends that i'v like, considered like a fot then, no, i really like this friend ship. Do you think it's possible to still be vfs, even if someone likes someone and then gets rejected, like within the friendship? Yes.
