The Importance of Carbon Capture and Sequestration
As the climate warms, permafrost is thawing and releasing tremendous amounts of carbon into the atmosphere. The cheapest and easiest thing to do is to compress it and shove it underground in old oil, oil and gas reservoirs or in their saline reservoirs. It's best to stay under two if we can; every tenth of the degree you go up, you raise the risk.
