The Rise of Chinese Universities in the Reform and Opening Period
The leaders of Chinese universities sought to revive education in the arts and sciences broadly conceived. They didn't want students trained in technology or engineering, they wanted them also to be innovative and problem solvers. The UNPAI program is one of the most difficult such programs I've encountered anywhere in the world. It's a name for Tsai-Yunpei - named after Tsai-yunpei.
