The Easter Story
Easter is the Jewish holiday of Passover. On this day, a man named Jesus and his followers were preparing to enter the city to celebrate Passover. When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem, he was riding on a simple donkey. But the people welcomed him like a king. They spread their coats on the ground in front of Jesus' donkey. They took palm tree leaves and laid them in the donkey's path. Christians around the world celebrate this event at Easter.
