Lansky spent just 24 days in prison for his illegal gambling operation. He was invited to cuba by a military colonel who wanted him to rebuild the country's corrupt casino industry. But when batista unexpectedly lost power and influence, lansky focused his attention back on us. In 19 forty six he helped his childhood friend and partner, bogy segel, to take control of the mob's interests in las vegas. Lansky is said to have spared his friend the mob's wrath, their anger, but he wasn't able to do so for ever. Eventually, it seems that lansky had little choice but to agree with the growing demands to have segel taken out or killed
