The Pros and Cons of Fast MRI in the Emergency Department
In follow-up after a skull fracture they may require an MRI in the emerge I understand there's this sort of newish protocol called the fast MRI which some centers are offering instead of CT. Can you tell us a little bit about whether there's a role for MRI acutely in the emergency department that can obviate the radiation effects of CT? "I would really be advocating to do a fast MRI and that type of child as to not give them their eighth or ninth or tenth CT"
